Needle: US Size 8 (5 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge

GAUGE: 18 sts x 36 rows = 4” in garter stitch; Save time, check your gauge.
PATTERN NOTES: The scarf is knit flat modularly. First, you work the longest portion in two stripes horizontally. Then, you pick up stitches on each end and create an additional two stripes.

GAUGE: 20 sts x 32 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch (St st) with larger ndl, after blocking

PATTERN NOTES: This cardigan is knit flat in pieces from the bottom up and seamed. After the cardigan is seamed together, the collar extensions on each side of the fronts are worked separately to the center of the neck and are joined using the three-needle bind-off.
For yarn requirements, sizes 4X and 5X take up almost exactly 15 and 16 balls respectively. You may wish to purchase an additional ball as insurance.
