Papyrus

This pattern is only charted. It is knit flat from the bottom-up.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Length: 70” x Width: 15”

Soothing Shawl

Designed by Rachel Brockman

PATTERN NOTES: There is nothing quite like a soothing, understated project. Written for two sizes, the Large version could double as a luxurious blanket and the smaller size is perfect for everyday wear. This body of the shawl is comprised mostly of a sea of seed stitch. Increases along the outer edges. It is constructed sideways from tip to tip, beginning and ending with just one stitch. The shawl is then finished with a more challenging applied lace border.

On rows 2 and 6 of Chain Lace Edging, the k2tog's are worked using the second loop of the double yarn over (from the previous row) and the following knit stitch.

Slip all stitches purlwise.

SIZES: Small (Large)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Wingspan: 44½ (84)”; Depth at center: 19½ (37¼”); Size Large shown

MATERIALS
Fibra Natura Papyrus (78% cotton, 22% silk; 50g/131 yds)
• 229-14 Cerulean – 5 (9) balls
Needles: US Size 7 (4.5 mm) 40” circular or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker

GAUGE: 18 sts x 30 rows = 4” in Seed Stitch, Save time, check your gauge.

Be Mine Shawl

Designed by Rachel Brockman. Sometimes you just need a little shawl to warm your heart—and the Be Mine shawl is the perfect match. Knit out of Papyrus, this velvety soft project is a delightful Valentine’s treat. It features stripes with a lace heart motif that are reminiscent of conversation heart candies.

GAUGE: 16 sts x 28 rows = 4” in Garter St after blocking, Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: This shawl is knit from the top-down using a garter tab cast on. For an elastic bind off, we recommend the suspended bind-off. There are many tutorials available online. Otherwise, be sure to bind off loosely. The shawl is finished with a crochet picot edging. This pattern is charted and written. If desired, use stitch markers to keep track of pattern repeats. You can find a blog post featuring a tutorial for the Suspended Bind off here. We also have a tutorial on a Crochet Picot Edging here, but please note that instead of entirely skipping a stitch between picots as directed in the tutorial, you will instead work a slip stitch in the stitch between picots.

Beechnut Pullover

MATERIALS
Fibra Natura Papyrus (78% cotton, 22% silk; 50g/131 yds)
• 229-24 Bison – 6 (7, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11, 12) balls
Needles: US Size 6 (4 mm) 24” circular or longer (to accommodate large number of stitches) or size needed to obtain gauge

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, removable stitch markers

GAUGE: 22 sts x 29 rows = 4” in Stockinette Stitch (St st), Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: The body is knit in stockinette and features ribbing along the hem and sleeve cuffs. The sweater is finished off with an elegant square neckline. The construction of this sweater is interesting and engaging. The sleeve panels are knit first, then the body stitches and sleeve stitches are picked up along the panel edge and worked from the top-down. The side and sleeves are then seamed before picking up stitches to work the neck edging and sleeve cuffs.

Tamara Triangle

Designed by Rachel Brockman. The Tamara Triangle is named after a dear friend of mine – one who inspired me to learn to knit (and one who has been pining for an oversized shawl). As such, this pattern goes out to all of the people in our lives who have inspired and encouraged the craft of knitting – whether it’s a family member, a friend, a local yarn shop, or yourself – I think we can all agree that it’s great to reflect and feel grateful for those influences.

SIZES: Small (Medium, Large)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Wingspan: 41½ (55¼, 75¾)”, Depth at center: 20¾ (27½, 38)”, Size Large shown

MATERIALS
Fibra Natura Papyrus (78% cotton, 22% silk; 50g/131 yds)
• 229-04 Dogwood – 5 (7, 9) balls
Needles: US Size 6 (4.5 mm) 40” circular (to accommodate large number of sts) circular or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers

GAUGE:20 sts x 28 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch; 20 sts x 24 rows = 4” in Lace Border patt; Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: The shawl is worked from the top down beginning with a garter tab cast-on. Most of the shawl is worked in stockinette stitch, making it excellent for a knit night with friends. The edging requires a bit more concentration, and the lace is worked on the right and wrong sides of the work. Fear not, though, the pattern is a repeat of just six rows. As a bonus, the lace pattern is aesthetically reversible. If you prefer the look of reverse stockinette, flip it around.

Pathways Poncho

Designed by Rachel Brockman.  Mock cables and texture and silk…oh my! Stitches in this knit are entertaining but not overwhelmingly difficult. This lovely warm-weather piece proves that ponchos can be made and worn for all seasons. Layer it over a tank, tee, or dress in the summer, or add sleeves for cooler temperatures.

SIZES: Extra Small/Small (Medium/Large, 1X/2X, 3X/4X); Modeled in size Extra Small/Small with 19” of positive ease.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Width: 22¾ (27¾, 32¾, 37¾)”; Length: 24¾ (25, 25¼, 25½)”

Fibra Natura Papyrus (78% cotton, 22% silk; 50g/131 yds)
• 229-19 Ether – 10 (12, 14, 17) balls
Needles: US Size 6 (4 mm) 32” circular (to accommodate large number of sts) or size needed to obtain gauge
US Size 4 (3.5 mm) 40” circular and set of DPNs (for Neck edging) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, removeable stitch markers, stitch holders or waste yarn, six 1?” buttons

GAUGE: 24 sts x 29 rows = 4” in Right or Left Path with larger ndl; 24 sts x 29 rows = 4” in Mock Cable Repeat with larger ndl; Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: This poncho is knit flat in pieces. The shoulders are joined using the three-needle bind off. It is finished with a simple ribbed button band. During Neck shaping, maintain pattern as established as much as possible. When in doubt, knit the stitch. A blog post about this pattern can be found at this link.

Rippled Waters, Designed by Aubrey Busek. Inspired by soothing waters kissing the coast in the summer breeze, Rippled Waters is a gorgeous wrap to envelop your shoulders over a sweet sundress during the summertime. Light, open lace on each end with a strip of Twisted Rib in the center creates a unique shape with each end gently fanning out. Perfect for a first lace project, the stitches are rhythmic and soothing. It’s the perfect project for a day by the lakeside.

SIZES: One Size

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Width (at each end): 18½”; Width (in center): 13¾”; Length: 62”

Peony Vest, Designed by Aubrey Busek. We love a good vest because they’re so stylish and versatile. Thanks to its loose fit and elegant waterfall silhouette, it’s easy to make a statement with the Peony Vest. Thoughtful details including twisted ribbing, soothing slipped stitches, and a tidy I-Cord edging complete the look.

This vest is intended to be worn with a generous amount of positive ease in the body. Due to the open nature of the vest, finished measurements are given based on the back width at the bust. When choosing a size for this pattern, choose a size that is closest to your actual back bust measurement.
