Tarma Aran

Recommended needle sizes: 4.5mm - 6mm (US 7-10)

Tarma Aran knits up as a slightly thicker Aran weight, on 5.5mm (US9) needles you can expect a tension of 16 sts and 22 rows to 10cm after blocking. Rib can be knitted on 4mm (US6) - 4.5mm (US7) needles.

Soak in cool water and block on a towel, due to the alpaca content the garments do take a while to dry, so block in a warm place if possible. Do not use leave in wool washes for this yarn as this may encourage the dye to run, a delicate fabric wash is the best option.

Since the skeins are hand dyed they must be alternated every few rows when knitting a larger item.
