Be Wool - Solids & Multis

Basketweave Hat - Designed by Universal Yarn Design Team. The Basketweave Hat is a cozy, one skein project you can whip us in just a few hours (if that!). Knit up in super-bulky Be Wool Multis, the simple stitch pattern allows the speckled yarn to shine.

SIZES: Child (Adult Small/Medium, Adult Medium/Large)

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Brim Circumference: 16 (18¾, 21¼)”, Length: 7 (8½, 8½)”

MATERIALS: Universal Yarn Be Wool Multis • 203 Island – 1 ball (all sizes)
Needles: US Size 15 (10 mm) 16” circular and set of dpns (or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker

GAUGE: 9 sts x 16 rnds = 4” in Basketweave patt, Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: This hat is knit in the round from the bottom up.


Kobuk Cowl - Designed by Ashley Jane McIntyre. Embrace fall and adventure with the Kobuk Cowl. This beautiful crochet piece is named for the Kobuk Valley National Park, with its enchanting, dreamlike landscape. The cowl’s earthy and frosty tones gave us the inspiration for its namesake. It is soft, thick, and the perfect size to tuck into a jacket for your own adventure.

Dappled Shawl - Designed by Rachel Brockman. Simple stripes, a bit of texture, and soft, chunky Be Wool come together to create the perfect shawl. This is a great beginner project, but we think every knitter will enjoy it. It works up so quickly and is perfect as a gift to yourself or to a loved one.

Difficulty: Easy

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS: Wingspan: 49”, Depth at center: 20”

MATERIALS: Universal Yarn Be Wool • 104 Jupiter (MC) – 2 balls • 111 Pistachio (CC) – 1 ball
Needles: US Size 17 (12 mm) set of dpns, 32” circular or longer (to accommodate large number of sts) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers

GAUGE: 7 sts x 14 rows = 4” in garter stitch, Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: This shawl is knit flat from the top down and begins with a garter tab cast-on. Four stitches are increased every right side row and two stitches are increased every wrong side row. When working in the Garter Stripes Section, do not break yarn at the end of each stripe. Instead, carry the yarn up the side of the work and twist the strands of yarn around one another every color change, taking care not to twist too tightly.

GAUGE: 8 sts x 12 rows = 4” in Stockinette stitch (St st) with larger ndl. Save time, check your gauge.

PATTERN NOTES: This cardigan is knit seamlessly from the top down. The body and sleeves are separated at the underarm. Stitches for the neck band are picked up and worked flat. Short rows are used to create a shawl collar. When working m1L or m1R on wrong side rows, be sure to purl these increased stitches (see Abbreviations list for instructions).

This is a perfect hat for quick gifts, or just something fun for yourself you can easily complete over a couple days!

US Size 17 (12 mm) 16” circular and set of DPNs (or your preferred needle for knitting small circumferences) or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch marker, 3½” pom pom maker

GAUGE: 7.5 sts x 10 rnds = 4” in stranded colorwork using larger ndl; Save time, check your gauge

PATTERN NOTES: This hat is worked in the round from the bottom up. A pom pom is added to the top of the hat during finishing.

PATTERN NOTES: This scarf is knit flat from the bottom up. Fringe is attached to each end during finishing. Slip all stitches purlwise unless otherwise noted. Due to the bulky nature of Be Wool and Be Wool Multis, we highly recommend breaking your yarn after each color change. Weave in your ends as you go to save time.
