NOTES:
• This scarf is worked back and forth in rows from end to end.

• This scarf is worked with 2 strands of yarn in the same color held together throughout.

• Knitting the scarf uses almost 2 complete hanks of both DC and LC, with the third hank of LC used for the fringe; you may wish to purchase a third hank of DC just in case.

• Each row is worked twice: once with LC, then once with DC. At the end of every LC row, slide work to other end of needle. At the end of every DC row, turn work.

• A stitch marker divides the two halves of the scarf. Slip the marker when you come to it.

• To create the selvage edge, the first stitch of each LC row is slipped purlwise with yarn in back, and the last stitch of each LC row is slipped purlwise with the yarn in front.

• When counting stitches, count each slipped stitch and its companion yarnover as one stitch.

• When counting rows, each visible stitch in a column represents two rows worked: one row in which the stitch was worked as brk and the following row when it was slipped with its companion yarnover.
