We recommend trapping your floats every 4-5 stitches to prevent puckering in your work.
Frozen Pond
Designed by Rachel Brockman
Frozen Pond's color echoes the brilliant blue so unique to winter ice, but the shawl itself is a warm treasure. Thanks to Nymph yarn's chainette construction, this graceful shawl has a slight fuzzy halo. The result is a soft and beautiful accessory that will keep you cozy as you move effortlessly through a chilly day.

This headband is knit flat, beginning with one end, and working to the other. The headband is split at the midpoint and the two ‘sides’ are worked separately for a specific length, then a cross is made in the middle, and it is joined again and worked in one piece to the end. Seam the ends together using mattress stitch, or your preferred method for seaming.
These mittens are worked in the round from the bottom up.
Holiday Elf Socks
Designed by Rachel Brockman
Merry and bright, the Holiday Elf Socks are inspired by the festive outfits we imagine each little elf is wearing as they busily build toys in the North Pole! Vibrant hues of red and green, inverted color schemes, and mini trees make these cute and cuddly socks all the more enticing! Worked up in our soft, sturdy Uni Merino, the stitches are crisp and the colorwork simply pops. These special socks will keep your tootsies warm for years to come!

GAUGE
15 sts x 9 rows = 4” in Granny Stitch Stripes patt, after blocking
Granny Square = 5¼” across
Save time, check your gauge.
PATTERN NOTES
The hat is made by making a Granny Square ring of four squares, one at a time, then seamed, attaching in a circle to create the base. A Granny Stitch is then applied to the squares and worked in the round to create the crown, which is finished with a pom pom. One row of the Granny stitch is used to create the brim, and it is finished with a single round of reverse single crochet.
The scarf is worked modularly from the bottom up in sections. First you will make four rows made of two Granny Squares each. In certain sections, you will work directly into the top of the Granny Square Rows to create Stripe Sections. You will also seam Granny Square Rows to the tops of Stripe Sections. Once the scarf is complete, the edges are folded and seamed to create pockets.
For your convenience, stitch patterns for the Granny Squares and Granny stitch are both written and charted. Additionally, visual guides are included that will help you visualize the construction of both the Hat and Scarf.
Hubble the Winter Wolf
Designed by Rachel Brockman
This festive boy loves romps in the woods, and throwing snow up in the air with his nose. Although he may fancy himself a fierce Winter Wolf, he's often more of a puppy. His body is made in Deluxe Worsted 100% wool, while his shaggy chest and other accents are given their texture by soft Minou. Hubble's hat is removable, so you can give him head scratches with or without it!

PATTERN NOTES
This stuffed toy is knit modularly. It begins with the Nose, which is worked flat. Then, stitches from around the edges of the nose are picked up and knit in the round for the Snout. Stitches for the bottom of the head are placed on hold, and the upper head is worked flat before rejoining in the round to form the back of the head. The ears are knit separately in the round and incorporate the stranded knitting method of trapping floats and carrying the contrast color along the inside of the work. They are sewn to the top of the head.
Stitches for the body are picked up from along the bottom of the head and from the held stitches, then joined in the round and knit seamlessly. Intarsia worked in the round creates the color-blocked chest. After the body is complete, stitches are picked up directly from the body for the legs and tail, each of which is worked in the round. Photos are included to illustrate where to pick these stitches up. This method minimizes the amount of seaming for assembly and creates a predominantly seamless project.
