Intermediate Cable Texture & Technique - Calla Shawl

Interested in challenging yourself and learning new skills and techniques? This class has it texture & cables. We will tackle working cables without a cable needle and different uses of cables to create texture. There is a little homework, so that we can jump right in to the fun stuff. Note: you will not finish the project in this class, you will learn the skills and be well on your way to finish on your own. Additional help can be received during any weekly drop-in time.  

Calla by Natasja Hornby is included in the class fee will be added to your Ravelry library at the start of class.

Finished Measurements:
Wingspan: Approx. 71” x Depth: Approx. 29.5” 

1008yds DK weight wool/wool blend yarn such as Vivacious DK (4 skeins needed), Ash Lawn DK (4 skeins needed) or Softyak DK (7 balls needed)*
US 7/4.5 mm needles 
Stitch markers 

18 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in broken rib stitch

Note, due to size, this class is not intended to be the full length of time to complete the shawl. It is expected that you will be well established into the pattern to finish on your own.

Requirements: Prerequisites: Knitting 104 or equivalent experience. Skills Needed: Provisional Cast-On, Knit, Purl, Cables, previous preferred but not required.
