Scheduled Classes

We haven't done this class in a long time. Come dive into the Cat Bordhi way of casting on for a mobius cowl! This cast on seems daunting, but once done it is easy to continue to stitch up your cowl.

Individual scheduled time.

Ravelry is a great resource for knitters and crocheters. Some of us, however, don't feel we have time to sit and figure out all it has to offer us.

Making mistakes is a part of knitting. Fixing them is another. We will teach you how to read your work, characterize the mistake, and make corrections.

We've all lost loved ones over the years, sometimes it's nice to have a specific project to remember them by, theoretically even better if they were a crafter and you can make the item from their inherited stash or just in a color you know they'd like.

For a laid-back sweatshirt feel with a fun tri-color motif, this ultra-cozy sweater is knit in the round?from the top-down?so you can try it on as you go!

How about making a gradient tee for summer? From the petite to the ample, we can show you how to make the gradient yarns do your bidding to create a top that will the the star of your summer wardrobe! Or choose any other pattern* to make a new favorite.

Project Class is a figurative "free-for-all" in terms of what you can learn.

This is a club rather than a class. We knit, laugh, tell & stories in a companionable atmosphere. We carry on the work and memory of Judy Wise, Sheep's matron teacher.

Come make a lightweight shawl with tons of character that will make others jealous of your mad hooking skills.

Come learn something new! Working with 2 yarns held together, reading pattern charts, and traveling sts to make a great reversible project.

Knit a two-color brioche shawl with a little bit of lace and a picot bind-off.

Pick a day that works for you and come learn to Knit & Purl, Cast-on & Bind-off. Make a practical project while doing so, for instant gratification.

Got piles of knitting sitting in a pile because you don't know what to do with it when you're done? Come learn the secrets of seaming, grafting and blocking so you can move on to wearing your handknits.

Are you intimidated by working with beads or yarns with "halo"? (you know, the fuzzy stuff). Come make this cowl or a wrap with us.

Work on any shawl, any skill. This is geared towards knitters that are working on a large shawl that needs support or skill learning and/or are slow knitters and need extra time between classes to get inches made.

  • A brokenhearted goodbye to Judie Wise.

Judie was an icon and constant in Sheep’s Clothing. She started working for Jimalee just after moving to Kennewick, when the store was across from Winco. She was encouraged to teach classes and did so 4 days a week for over 15 years. Judie learned to knit and crochet at age 3, from “Grandmom”, who […]
